Bamboo products are made from natural bamboo, which has its own color difference. If the color difference is too large, it will result in uneven color of the final product.
To solve this problem, a local university team developed an intelligent bamboo sorting robot using AI technology. It can replace at least 4 workers, with a sorting speed 10 times faster than manual sorting, and an inspection accuracy of 99.9%, which can effectively solve the problem of low manual inspection efficiency and high rate of false detection and omission by workers.
As the initial raw material for most of the bamboo products, the production process is complex and there are many problems in the production process, such as the local factories can not recruit production line workers, the manual inspection efficiency of bamboo strips, workers detection of false detection and high rate of missed detection, which directly leads to the economic inefficiency of the local bamboo products factory, but also cause a large number of bamboo farmers in the hands of the bamboo stagnation.
To this end, the team spent two years to collect a total of more than 600,000 photos of all kinds bamboo defects , combined with independent research and development of artificial intelligence algorithms, the establishment of training models, and joint digital image analysis technology and automation technology to develop intelligent bamboo sorting robot.
